Brigitte MAAS - DMI

Brigitte Maas is a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsches Mikrofinanz Institut e.V. (German Association for the Development of Microlending) and Project Manager at GLS Gemeinschaftsbank eG (German Ethical-Ecological Cooperative Bank / EQUAL DP EXZEPT "Start-up Financing").

Deutsches Mikrofinanz Institut e.V. ties together organizations from several sectors (f.e. banking, public and private business support - in particular for self-employment starters, science) for the improvement of small start-up and growth capital in Germany. Building up existing projects and in cooperation with business support centres, the DMI started to offer small loans on a bigger scale from autumn 2005. DMI intends to develop further and standardize appropriate Microlending models over the next two years.
