Martin JUNG - EVERS&JUNG

Martin Jung is a senior expert in SME finance and entepreneurship. He has 15 years of experience in research and consulting for a wide range of clients like commercial and development banks, guarantee associations, national and regional authorities, the International Labour Organisation and the European Commission.

His special focus is currently on the development of new financial support schemes for SMEs (guarantee, loan, mezzanine and equity programs) and innovative IT-based business support tools and methodologies (software minicontrol, internet based business planning and advice, telephone based business advice).

In 2001 he co-founded EVERS & JUNG, now seen as one of the leading think tanks in SME finance in Germany and Europe. He is also a founder and board member of the German association of start-up initiatives (VDG – Verband deutscher Gründungsinitiativen) and was member of two expert groups of the European Commission on microfinance.

He studied economics in Hamburg (Germany), Newcastle (UK) and Monterey (USA) and was awarded a research fellowship of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
