Silvia Rico is Director of Fundación Nantik Lum Co-director and research fellow of Foro Nantik Lum de MicroFinanzas (“Foro Nantik Lum of Microfinance”). She has a Bachelor in Business Administration at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) and a Masters Degree in International Humanitarian Action at the Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao).

At present Silvia is a PhD candidate in Business Administration at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas Madrid, having obtained her Advanced Studies for Research Work Diploma. Her research work is focused upon financial exclusion and microcredit programmes in Spain. She has also extensive entrepreneurial and finance working experience as Subdirector of Corporate Development in Antena 3 Televisión and Investment Director of Antena 3 Interactiva (Madrid, 2000- 2001), Manager of the investment bank J. Henry Schroder, (Madrid, 1996-1999), and Assistant consultant in the consultancy The LEK Partnership (London, 1994-1996).
