The Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) is partnering with EMN and e-MFP for its new MOOC on "The commercialisation of social enterprises: Stemming the tide of mission drift". Jorge Ramírez, EMN General Manager, will be a guest speaker for this online course. The MOOC will be led by ULB professor Marek Hudon.
This MOOC will offer new insights on the issue of commercialisation or marketisation of social enterprises, the trend to make social enterprises more commercial or the turn to market-led techniques, funding or governance. The course will address two main issues related to this commercialisation trend. First, how commercialisation affects the management and operations of social enterprise. Second, which avenues could or should be used to avoid mission drift?
The free 5 week course includes a total of 12-15 hours of content from a wide range of leading academics and practitioners in social enterprise and microfinance.
The course starts on 27th February 2017.
