The Social & Sustainable Finance Chair of the Montpellier Business School was created in October 2020 as an extension of the Microfinance in Developed Countries Chair, established two years before with Créa-Sol and the Caisse d’Epargne Languedoc Roussillon. The chairholders, Dr. Anastasia Cozarenco and Dr. Thi Hong Van Hoang, have the objective to promote social finance, in particular microfinance and social banking, and sustainable finance. To serve this objective, the activities of the chair are structured around three main types of activities: teaching, research, and events.
