Created in 2002, Gaztenpresa Foundation is a non-profit private entity, part of the cooperative regional bank LABORAL Kutxa’s social commitment programme in Basque Country and Navarre, Spain. This Good Practice looks at the joint venture between the private sector, which takes on the role of promoting the initiative, a consultancy firm (belonging to Caritas - social sector) and the Basque Employment Service, Lanbide, of the public sector. The project aims to accompany people with a good business idea who wish to create or develop an activity and become self-employed by offering financing and training through volunteers of the financial institutions.
