This article provides an overview on the relationship between microfinance and migration in the European context, where migratory flows have been heavily feature in the EU since the 1960s. The article describes the composition of migration within EU population, more specifically: socio-economic conditions of immigrants, financial and labour situation of immigrants in the EU, MFIs and immigrant clients, field experiences and good practices from EMN's members.
