Loan Officer Training
This course consists
of five modules which review the main aspects of the work of a
loan officer in Western Europe. The course developers have learned from best practice in international microfinance in the developing world but have adapted it for the more challenging environment in Western Europe. The course places an understanding of microfinance clients at the heart of the lending process. It identifies the eight stages of the lending process and shows how they can be streamlined for greater efficiency. It adapts
a structured lending methodology based on the traditional five ‘C’s’ to show how to make good loans for good purposes to good clients, creating good impacts on local communities. Finally,
it stresses the importance of post-loan contact with the borrower.
