Cariplo Foundation Conference Center

The Conference Centre of the Cariplo Foundation belongs to the Foundation Iniziative Patrimoniali – Cariplo Spa., a company completely owned by the Cariplo Foundation.

 

The building offers, for conventions and very important events, sophisticated rooms in which artistic works belonging to the Foundation’s artistic collection are exhibited, guaranteeing in the meantime great flexibility of use thanks to sophisticated and new technologies.

 

The palace is situated in an area of great history. It was built in the late XVIth century, when it became the house of the Confalonieri family, one of the most aristocratic families of Milan. As further confirmation, one can admire the slab of the front in Monte di Pieta street which stresses, even more, the name Federico Confalonieri. At the beginning of the XXth century, the confalonieri house and other buildings nearby, situated along Monte di Pieta street and the parallel Andegari street, were bought by Cariplo, in consideration of the future development of its offices.
