S.C.M. Aurora IFN SA was created in 2005 by trade unions to lend to businesses, families and individuals authorized to conduct business.

Loans are granted for the development of projects or business activities, community development and the implementation of economic and social programmes. Loan applications, for a maximum of €25,000, must be accompanied by a business plan to ensure the development of the company and an additional source of income. The repayment periods range from one week to 60 months.

All loans granted by Aurora, regardless of the amount or duration of the credit, are allocated on the basis of personal guarantees or mortgages.
 
Since its beginning, S.C.M. Aurora IFN S.A. has distinguished itself by offering new high-quality financial services, its first year being an unexpected success. Its capital has been growing each year and reached €1,121,951 in 2010. Aurora has been successful in offering a complete set of financial services to start-up businesses.
 
Its mission is to participate fully in the revival of the Romanian microcredit sector and to make the autochthonous capital more trusted. Aurora offers its services to create and develop new partnerships with small and very small undertakings which have an undetermined position in the market and very often non-bankable clients. The main shareholders are represented by 21 credit unions from Hunedoara County, Romania
 

In the coming years, Aurora’s main goal is to become a true player in the regional market of micro-financial services. Its medium term objective is to develop a national scale network of offices and to conclude an agreement with the Romanian Credit Guarantee Fund in order to obtain a second guarantee for loans.
