About us

With the valuable support of the European Commission and the French Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), the European Microfinance Network (EMN) was launched by its founding members (Adie - France, nef - UK and EVERS&JUNG - Germany) in April 2003. The EMN is a Non Governmental Organisation ("Association loi 1901, under the French legislation) and was officially registered in Paris on May 23rd 2003.

The creation of this network has proved to be an essential step in the promotion of microfinance in the European Union, assisting the fight against unemployment and social exclusion through the development of microentreprises.

EMN includes both founding and new members, all of which are organisations involved in European microfinance issues. Members of the network are either Active Members, Corporate Members and Partners.
