EMN organised a new exchange visit in the United Kingdom, the 5-6 February 2007, within the framework of the Gender Equality European Program. This new exchange visit was only open to EMN and program members.
Over the two day programme, participants had the opportunity to discover the working methods of several British microfinance organisations spread all over the country and who only have female clients. There they were also able to deepen their understanding of the particularities of evolving in this kind of environment as well as the opportunity to share their own professional experience.
The 18 participants visited the cdfa headquarters in London and the 5 host organisations located in different cities, and were able to meet clients and institutional partners, as well as being explained the specificities of the organisation visited.
The participants were professionals from 8 European countries representing 11 Microcredit Institutions, who were particularly interested in opportunities for expansion learned through other European microfinance institutions, as well as from other participants. In addition, they also represent the diversity of the European microcredit field.
