Lessons learnt during the visit

  • Adie has gone through 4 different phases while expanding and what these involved;
  • The importance and the need for public funding and engaging volunteers;
  • Importance and need for impact reporting and to put figures on how much value is created, also in discussions and arguments for funding;
  • The structure of the local branches and how to involve volunteers in the work;
  • The combination of e-learning and IRL meetings. Crucial is still the IRL meetings while a lot can be done through e-learning.

Peer-to-Peer Visits

The peer-to-peer exchange visits, exclusively intended for EMN members, provide each EMN member with the opportunity to visit another member on a specific theme, in order to deepen the understanding of their work, to encourage exchange of good practices and to develop expertise. These bilateral exchanges, tailor-made to members' needs and expectations, also facilitate cooperation and collaboration between EMN members.
