Join us for the Financing social innovation from seeding to sustaining webinar, where we will explore how social innovation projects can access the financing and support they need throughout their journey, from the seeding phase to scaling and replication.
The session will showcase different financing instruments, stakeholder engagement approaches and public policies that can help create a more supportive environment for social innovation across Europe. It will also highlight successful collaborations between social enterprises, social finance providers, public actors and foundations, while discussing common challenges, pitfalls and possible ways forward to ensure social innovation has access to the financial resources needed to grow and create lasting impact.
Speakers
Clémentine Blazy works at the European Center for Social Finance, alongside her collaboration with different social impact investment teams in sourcing and executing deals. She has been active in the field of impact financing for over 15 years, with experience in setting up investment vehicles and programmes, as well as investment and fund management.
Dr. Markus Freiburg is a pioneer in European impact finance and a recognised thought leader in social finance and hybrid investment models. As co-founder of FASE, he established it as one of Europe’s leading impact finance advisory firms, supporting more than 100 impact ventures and raising over €85 million in hybrid growth capital.
He was also instrumental in initiating the European Social Innovation and Impact Fund (ESIIF), the first fund in Europe to provide patient capital to impact ventures with EU-backed guarantees. Markus serves as a Board Member at Impact Europe and was previously part of the European Commission’s Expert Group on social enterprise (GECES). He holds a PhD from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
