The Association of Ukrainian Banks (AUB), founded in Kyiv in 1990, is Ukraine’s first banking association. It brings together more than 100 financial market participants, including banks, non-bank financial institutions and other companies operating across the financial sector.
AUB combines policy advocacy with expert input into regulation, representing the collective interests of its members before the National Bank of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada and other public authorities. In doing so, the Association serves as a platform for structured dialogue between regulators and market participants.
The Association’s work focuses on the development of bank and non-bank lending, improving access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises, advancing financial inclusion and responsible lending, and strengthening the protection of consumers of financial services. Cutting across these priorities is the alignment of Ukraine’s financial sector with EU legislation and standards, which AUB supports through legislative analysis, expert committees and cooperation with international partners.
