Mikrofonden was founded in 2010 by the cooperative bank Ekobanken, the cooperative start-up consultancy organisation Coompanion and the Swedish Village action group network Rural Sweden. Their first investing member was a trade union. Mikrofonden is a financial institution and a consortium consisting of one national fund and eight regional microfunds.

Singlify provides an end-to-end technology platform built on the Salesforce platform specifically tailored to the microfinance sector.
Singlify is an end-to-end loan management system for social investors and micro-finance organisations. They have built a customer base of currently 14 customers in the UK and Europe and are rapidly expanding to new microfinance customers. Singlify currently serves a number of EMN members such as microStart (Belgium) and Action Finance Initiative (Greece). They also have a strategic partnership agreement with Qredits (Netherlands).
